The NightOwl™ is an application detecting sleep apnea, used by patients in the comfort of their own bed. It’s designed for quick and easy diagnosis and possible treatment options.

The application captures a patient’s internight variability of sleep apnea by testing during up to 10 nights, using a sensor attached to the patient’s index finger.

The early stage

For the launch of the first pre-series of the NightOwl, Tenco supported the development of the housing sets and assisted during the design and engineering stages by researching suitable biocompatible materials and coatings, as well as providing input on the required production tools.

After the materials, techniques, and post-processing steps were defined, the first prototypes were delivered for evaluation and validation.

Pre-serie production

For the pre-series production, Tenco produced the first 200 housing sets using a biocompatible material and applied a Class IIa biocompatible coating.
