Post Production Services
At Tenco, we offer a comprehensive range of post-production services for finishing and assembly. Custom solutions are available on request.
Post-Processing Services
Post-processing – particularly in Additive Manufacturing – is a vital step involving various techniques to enhance the strength, function, and appearance of 3D-printed parts.
Support Removal
Support structures are removed manually—by cutting, breaking, or dissolving them—using tools such as pliers, knives, or solvents.
For greater efficiency, supports can also be removed using CNC machining, ultrasonic cleaning, or chemical treatments.
Surface Finishing
Parts are sanded or polished to smooth out surface irregularities and remove visible layer lines from the printing process.
Additional methods like solvent smoothing or tumbling can be used depending on the desired finish and material.
Machining
Drilling, milling, and turning operations are used to refine dimensions, improve surface quality, or prepare parts for assembly.
Coating & Painting
Coatings and paints are applied to enhance appearance, provide surface protection, or add specific functionality—such as electromagnetic shielding, light absorption, or food safety compliance.
Assembly Services
Tenco offers end-to-end assembly services, from simple insert installation to fully integrated assemblies—including electronics—ready for immediate use upon delivery.
Bespoke assembly services are available on request.
Joining
Parts are joined using adhesives, glues, or mechanical fasteners to ensure optimal strength and fit.
Potting is also available for protecting electronics and sensitive components.
Graphics Application
Serial numbers, logos, and other identifiers can be added using digital UV printing or dry-transfer methods. These markings are durable and resistant to wear.
Programming & Testing
We offer component programming and functional testing, with optional inclusion of test or measurement reports.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Dimensional Inspection
Verifies that parts meet all specified tolerances. - Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Used to inspect internal features without damaging the part. - Surface Roughness Measurement
Ensures surface textures meet required standards. - Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
Confirms that delivered parts meet your specifications.
