Interreg is the European Territorial Cooperation programme launched in 1990 and forms an essential part of the EU’s cohesion policy. The programme supports cross-border, transnational, and interregional cooperation between various national, regional, and local actors.

Objective

The cooperation programme aims to promote economic, social, and territorial cohesion between different regions in Europe. It focuses not only on cooperation between regions situated on either side of national borders, but also on collaboration between regions from different EU Member States.

About Interreg Flanders–Netherlands
